I'm fascinated by artwork which look different depending on the distance the viewer has to the it. We all have seen impressionistic paintings where you can only see the landscape when you are far away.
From the distance you can just make sense of this shot. It was during low tide on an inlet. The water surface was covered with a bit of dirty foam moving with the water. Underneath the water there are small pieces of seaweed.
If you move closer to the artwork, you just see an abstract. Even in just square format it is not recognisable anymore.
